Microsoft offers concessions to gain EC approval of Activision Blizzard takeover

US-based technology giant Microsoft has made “binding commitments” to the European Commission (EC) in an effort to secure regulatory approval for its proposed $68.7bn (€64.2bn) takeover of video game producer Activision Blizzard.
