The former US ambassador to Singapore Kirk Wagar has resigned from the board of Axington, a firm linked to Bellagraph Nova Group, the company claiming to be bidding for English football club Newcastle United. Wagar cited "recent revelations" about Bellagraph Nova Group, which has been under scrutiny since it announced the Newcastle bid for, among other things, doctoring images of its owners appearing with former US president Barack Obama and outlandish claims in its marketing materials – CNA/Reuters
